Who we are
We are a family office focused on managing and building multi-generational wealth for our family clients.
We believe that long-term financial success comes from owning and operating micro-cap and lower-middle market companies that align with our core values. We only invest in businesses with high levels of integrity, quality and customer service. We believe that integrity is the key to long-term personal and financial success.
We are actively involved, value-creating long-term business owners. We are not a private equity fund. Unlike typical PE funds, we are very actively involved in day-to-day operations of our businesses. We work with business leaders to create a vision, hire the right people, and remove obstacles. We meet with customers to show how our values align with theirs and find ways to work more closely together.
We use conservative amounts of leverage and focus on operational excellence instead of financial engineering. We provide capital as required to grow, including bolt-on and strategic acquisitions. We prefer steady sustainable growth instead of sacrificing quality in a quest for rapid growth. We are not constrained by the PE fund lifecycle, so we do not have a defined holding period for investments.
Our Team
Nathan Wicker, Managing Director
Nathan is an experienced executive, investor and consultant. Before joining Zelva Capital, Nathan was the owner and president of Alcor Petrolab, a leading quality testing laboratory serving the petroleum industry.
Nathan has participated in more than 20 M&A transactions as an executive, investor, buyer, seller, and/or consultant.
Prior to purchasing Alcor, Nathan was an executive with NCH Corporation, a family-owned company providing industrial maintenance products and services. He held several senior management roles with NCH Europe, including leading manufacturing, supply chain, operations, sales and marketing for various business units.
Prior to joining NCH, Nathan was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in Dallas and Lisbon, Portugal. Nathan has a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Nathan served as a missionary for two years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in California.
Nathan has lived in Mexico, Portugal and the Czech Republic and has traveled to 50 countries. He speaks fluent Spanish.
